Pulseaudio server on OpenWRT

The idea started after installing OpenWRT on Wifi AP for the lab: Why not use them for audio as there are each in a different room ? Also I wanted to play with pulseaudio. OpenWRT provides OpenWRT packages so how hard can it be ;)

  • Pulseaudio is a open-source audio server with some network functionality. It can run on many platform and is commonly included with Linux or BSD distribution as default. See the Official Pulseaudio website for more info
  • OpenWRT is a Linux distribution for embedded devices. A popular use is for router/Wifi AP but it is quite flexible as an extensive packages repository is available. See OpenWRT website
