A robust log colorizer

  $ cat /var/log/syslog | ccze -A
  

jrnl

jrnl is a simple journal application for your command line.

Write:

  $ jrnl last sunday *: Best day of my life.

Retrieve:

  $ jrnl -from "last year" -until march

log your entire bash history

Add this line in your ~/.bashrc file:

  export PROMPT_COMMAND='if [ "$(id -u)" -ne 0 ]; then echo "$(date "+%Y-%m-%d.%H:%M:%S") $(pwd) $(history 1)" >> ~/.logs/bash-history-$(date "+%Y-%m-%d").log; fi'

Or using jrnl:

  export PROMPT_COMMAND='if [ "$(id -u)" -ne 0 ]; then jrnl bash : "$(pwd) cmd: $(history 1)" &>/dev/null; fi'

Test the speakers

  $ speaker-test -t wav -c 6
