Results of the Greece expedition

Description


Building a ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) to explore the Swiss lakes, lac léman in specific.

The ROV is built on the OpenROV design, I hope to make some modifications, like adding the T100 thrusters, use PoE and have better camera and sensors.

Léman Make

The ROV will be shown in the Léman Make festival 27 and 28 June 2015. A demo will be made in a small swimming pool. Come visit us!

Greece expedition

In collaboration with the university of Geneva, the ROV will be taken to the mediterranean in Greece (end of July 2015) to map an underwater village. There are several challenges included in this project regarding powering the ROV and the equipments, stabilizing it and creating SfM images.
